Kyushu University Global Advisory Board 1st Meeting Held.

On March 29.2017, Kyushu University Global Advisory Board the 1st Meeting was held at Shiiki Auditorium large conference room.
The Global Advisory Board meeting is established with the aim of receiving opinions from international experts outside the university on internationalization and governance reform of our university, and we have the following five members.
In the board meeting, after explanation about the current situation of the university by President Chiharu Kubo and explanation about the Top Global University project(SHARE-Q) by Kazuo Ogata (Senior Vice President&Manager of SHARE Office).
Opinions were exchanged among board members, President, and Executive vice Presidents on the following four items of discussion items: “governance reform”, “internationalization of education”, ” internationalization of research” and ” reputation management”.
From the board members, they expressed their opinions on the necessity of “many faculty members including young member’s overseas experience”, “improving reputation”, “conducting external evaluation”, “improving human resources diversity”. We got opinions of expectations for the School of Interdisciplinary Science and Innovation newly established in 2018. Kyushu University plans to host the second meeting in FY 2017.
