Lecture by Professor Richard Dasher of Stanford University

We invited Professor Richard Dasher of Stanford University on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, and held a lecture on the theme of “The Role of the University in an Innovation System: What can be learned from Silicon Valley?” The lecture was held at the Shiiki Auditorium large conference room, and about 70 faculty members and students participated.
Professor Dasher is a member of the Global Advisory Board which has been established to provide opinions and recommendations on the internationalization and governance reform of our university.
Specializing in the creation of innovation etc. through industry-academia collaboration. Professor Dasher is also well-versed in the management of the university in Japan, and gave us many suggestive lectures to think about the future of this university. After the lecture, a question and answer session with the participants was held and closed by Senior Vice President Ogata.
